Commercial Graduate Programme

Embark on our Commercial Graduate Programme and play a vital role in shaping the contracts and relationships that drive our business forward. You will gain hands-on experience supporting multi-million-pound bids and managing key contracts, positioning you at the forefront of critical UK and international engineering projects.

Programme Structure

This is a comprehensive two-year programme consisting of four six-month placements. You will rotate through different business areas, gaining a holistic understanding of how our Commercial teams operate across diverse sectors and locations. As a Group programme, you'll gain a broad perspective on how we support our customers and contracts. Flexibility in location is key, as placements can be anywhere in the UK, but you will be supported by a dedicated team to accelerate your development.

Development and Support

From day one, you'll benefit from structured training, mentorship, and dedicated support. The Graduate Development Programme includes expert-led masterclasses in areas such as communication, personal branding, resilience, and wellbeing. We also provide funding, guidance, and mentoring to support your journey towards professional membership and chartered status with the World Commerce and Contracting (WorldCC) Association.

Career Progression

Upon successful completion of the programme, you will transition into a permanent role within our Commercial team. Your development will continue with support for advancement into more senior roles and increased responsibility. Application Requirements

Candidates must have achieved, or be on track to achieve, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any subject and demonstrate a clear interest in a career in Commercial. This programme requires you to be able to achieve and maintain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) security clearance. Note that nationality, citizenship, residency, and place of birth may impact eligibility due to Security Clearance and Trade Control restrictions.

Location

Placements for the Commercial Graduate Programme may be located across various UK sites, including Plymouth, Bristol, Warrington, Walsall, and Cheltenham in England, and HM Naval Base Clyde and Rosyth in Scotland. Graduates are expected to be open to relocation throughout the programme to maximize placement opportunities.
