About the Role:
This is a compelling opportunity to join MBDA UK and play a vital role in the NATO Stock Number (NSN) codification process. You will be responsible for codifying assemblies and components, ensuring adherence to MoD process standards, including SSCP47, JSP886 Vol 2 CH 4, and DEFCON 117. This position involves close coordination, management of NSN codification configurations with SAP part numbers, and acting as MBDA's key point of contact with the MoD for all NSN codification inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate and manage NSN codification configurations with SAP part numbers and technical information.
- Serve as MBDA's primary focal point for NSN codification matters with the MoD.
- Provide essential codification support for change processes.
- Support NATO codification activities through the Codification Support Information System (CSIS) - UK National Codification Bureau.
- Utilise MBDA's internal engineering and item configuration tool, MBDA Matrix/PLM.
- Check for existing NATO Stock Numbers using the MCL Unitex database.
What We're Looking For:
- The ability to apply sound judgment based on the analysis of factual information from the team and stakeholders to achieve compliant outcomes.
- Strong skills in prioritizing multiple complex issues.
- Knowledge of supporting functions such as ILS, GFE, ITAR, Configuration Management, Commercial, and Engineering.
- Experience and understanding of how Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams collaborate in product development.
- Awareness of the legal and regulatory environment, with specific consideration for MoD codification prerequisites.
