About the Role

Rheinmetall Electronics UK Ltd. is seeking a motivated CAVS Project Manager to support the Omnia Transition Project Manager in the successful transition of Combined Arms Virtual Simulation (CAVS) to the Army Collective Training Service (ACTS). This is a permanent, full-time position based in Bristol.

Key Responsibilities

The CAVS Project Manager will be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of CAVS training events. Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving and ensuring CAVS training delivery.
  • Developing and executing the CAVS Transition Integrated Master Schedule for REUK activities.
  • Ensuring the delivery of the REUK scope of CAVS Transition.
  • Collaborating with Booking and Scheduling Services to understand and meet training demand through effective resource planning.
  • Managing third-party CAVS responsibilities, escalating to Raytheon UK as necessary.
  • Engaging and collaborating with internal and external Omnia Training and REUK stakeholders, maintaining clear communication channels.
  • Identifying potential risks and proactively implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Monitoring and managing budgets in conjunction with the REUK PMO.
  • Allocating and managing resources effectively with Training Delivery and Training Support Services.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams on technical aspects of solutions and capturing user feedback.
  • Supporting the PMO in managing CAVS Change Requests or Task Orders.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong organisational and team management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • An understanding of technical development processes.
  • A proactive and self-motivated attitude.
  • A formal Project Management Qualification and/or suitable Project experience.
  • Experience working within a highly regulated and technical sector.
  • Familiarity with UK defence and procurement processes/standards is desirable.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain Security Clearance for UK Defence Sector projects.
  • Desirable experience in implementing new Training Solutions to the UK MoD.
  • Must have lived in the UK for at least 5 years due to pre-employment checks.
