Rheinmetall Electronics UK Ltd. is seeking a dedicated CAVS Project Manager (PM) to play a crucial role in the successful transition of the Combined Arms Virtual Simulation (CAVS) to the Army Collective Training Service (ACTS). This permanent, full-time position offers the chance to contribute significantly to the UK Defence Sector's training capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Omnia Transition Project Manager with the successful transition of CAVS to the ACTS.
- Liaise with the CAVS Site Lead, Training Delivery, and Training Support Service Leads to ensure CAVS training events are delivered effectively.
- Ensure Rheinmetall Electronics UK (REUK) resources are in place to enable the delivery of Virtual and Constructive training.
- Support Raytheon UK in managing other parties involved in CAVS delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement of collective training capabilities for measurable, scalable, and data-driven training environments.
- Ensure support required from Training Delivery and Training Support services is provided.
- Work with the REUK CTTP Programme Management Office (PMO) for accurate project data recording and reporting.
Project Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with the Governance Service to produce the CAVS Transition Integrated Master Schedule for REUK activities, identifying dependencies.
- Ensure the delivery of the REUK scope within the CAVS Transition.
- Work with Booking and Scheduling Services to understand training demand and develop resource plans.
- Manage third-party CAVS responsibilities, escalating to Raytheon UK as needed.
Stakeholder Management and Risk Mitigation:
- Engage and collaborate with internal and external Omnia Training and REUK stakeholders.
- Maintain effective communication channels for regular project updates and concern resolution.
- Identify potential risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
Budget, Resource, and Technical Oversight:
- Monitor and manage budgets in conjunction with the REUK PMO.
- Allocate and manage resources effectively with Training Delivery and Training Support Services.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on technical aspects of electronic hardware and software solutions.
- Capture user feedback on Rheinmetall’s Constructive Simulation product for the Development team.
- Support the PMO in responding to CAVS Change Requests or Task Orders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and team management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Understanding of technical development processes, including technical Stage Gates.
- Proactive and self-motivated attitude.
- Formal Project Management Qualification and/or suitable Project experience.
- Experience working within a highly regulated and technical sector.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain Security Clearance for UK Defence Sector projects.
- Familiarity with UK defence and procurement processes/standards is desirable.
- Experience in implementing new Training Solutions to the UK MoD is desirable.
