Graduate Programme: Calibration & Maintenance Engineer (Starting September 2027)
Join our Calibration & Maintenance (C&M) Department, a crucial part of our operations directorate, responsible for supporting all equipment used in product manufacture and testing. This 2-year rotational graduate programme offers an unparalleled opportunity to develop a diverse set of engineering skills.
What you will do:
Daily activities for a C&M Engineer vary, involving hands-on work with equipment on the shop floor and in the lab, as well as office-based tasks including technical documentation and drawing management. As a Graduate, you will develop expertise in:
- Diagnosing and fault finding on Test & Process Equipment
- Authoring instructions and/or specifications
- Drafting and publishing drawing packs
- Analysing fault-related data
- Introducing new equipment into manufacturing
- Calibrating Test & Measurement equipment
- Conducting process improvements
Rotational Placements:
This programme is rotational, offering exposure to various specialisms within C&M. You will work alongside experienced engineers, supporting different equipment sets. Placements may include:
- Electronic Engineering: Special to Type Test Equipment commissioning & repair
- Environmental & Mechanical Test Engineering: ESS & Pressure Test Equipment
- Electrical Calibration: Special to Type Test Equipment & Commercially off the Shelf TE, Calibration
- Mechanical Calibration: Positioner systems, alignment TE etc. calibration
- Maintenance Engineering: Process & Mechanical Equipment commissioning & repair
Collaboration:
C&M Engineers work closely with other functions such as Product Design, Test Equipment Design, Test Engineering, and Quality Assurance, providing opportunities to collaborate beyond your immediate team.
