Your Apprenticeship at Airbus Helicopters Technik GmbH:
Your training will begin with foundational education at the Berufsbildungswerk Nordhessen in Kassel. From the second year onwards, you will be integrated into our two-shift system at the Calden site, working in departments such as Manufacturing, Assembly, Measurement Room, and Quality Assurance. Here, you will acquire extensive knowledge and skills to become a skilled Zerspanungsmechaniker.
What you will learn:
- Reading and handling technical documents.
- Manufacturing and maintaining components and assemblies.
- Setting up, converting, and programming CNC machine tools.
- Identifying and resolving technical system problems.
- Using specialized manufacturing tools.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards according to aviation guidelines.

What you bring:
- At least a good Haupt- or Realschulabschluss or a (Fach-)Abitur.

- Very good German language skills and at least basic English skills with a willingness to improve.
Career Prospects After Apprenticeship:
After completing your apprenticeship, you will have diverse further training opportunities, for example, as a Master Craftsman, Technician, or Bachelor of Engineering, Certifying Staff (inspection personnel in aviation), or NDT Inspector (non-destructive material testing). The standard apprenticeship duration is 3.5 years, with the possibility of early admission to the final examination after 3 years for outstanding performance or prior education.
