Working Student in Software Engineering (d/f/m) - Windtunnel Test Team

Airbus Operations is seeking a full-time enrolled student to join the Windtunnel Test team in Bremen as a working student. This 12-month position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in software engineering within the aerospace industry.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Feature Development: Support the team in developing and implementing new features for our Wind Tunnel Environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Assist in maintaining high standards by writing unit tests and helping with bug fixing.
  • Collaboration: Participate in regular team meetings and task planning.
  • Independent Work: Take ownership of your own tasks and sub-projects after onboarding.
  • Technical Support: Help document and optimize existing codebases.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled full-time student (minimum 3rd semester) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related degree program.
  • Solid grasp of at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C++, Java).
  • Understanding of version control basics (Git) and eagerness to learn professional workflows.
  • Proactive, curious mindset with a problem-solving approach.
  • Fluency in English or German.
  • Experience or willingness to learn about event-driven architectures and messaging systems (e.g., Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ).
