About the Role
As a Warehouse Operative at Babcock, you will be an integral part of a busy and supportive team responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials, equipment, and stock. What You'll Do
- Receive, check, store, and dispatch stock and materials safely and accurately.
- Maintain stock records and support inventory accuracy through effective warehouse processes.
- Operate material handling equipment and carry out general warehouse housekeeping activities.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support operational requirements.
- Adhere to health, safety, and quality standards while contributing to the achievement of daily performance targets.
Key Information
This is a full-time, 37-hour per week, 12-month fixed-term contract position based at Bovington, Dorset. Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 07:00 to 15:30 and Friday from 07:00 to 12:00.
Essential Experience
- Experience working within a warehouse, stores, or logistics environment.
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of warehousing and MRP systems.
- Understanding of stock control, calibration processes, or inventory management.
Desirable Qualifications/Experience
- Awareness of SAP or MJDI warehouse systems.
- Material Handling Equipment (MHE) licence.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
