Testing Lead
Join BAE Systems as a Testing Lead and play a crucial role in assuring the quality and successful delivery of our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions. You will be responsible for their integration with key engineering and enterprise systems, including CAD, FORAN, and SAP.
This senior role involves leading and coordinating software testing activities across complex, interconnected systems. Your focus will be on identifying issues, improving quality, and ensuring solutions perform effectively from end to end.
Core Duties:
- Work daily with stakeholders in IT and Engineering, guiding other Test Analysts and supporting a wide range of internal customers.
- Operate mainly within a Scrum Team as a Senior Software Test Analyst.
- Design, execute, and report on test cases, while mentoring junior testers.
- Collaborate with team members and customers to ensure Acceptance Criteria are clear and understood.
- Manage defect identification, tracking, prioritisation, resolution, and reporting in close collaboration with the development team.
- Oversee day-to-day test activities during test phases under the guidance of the Test Manager.
Essential Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in creating and manipulating XML Data.
- Sound knowledge of various testing methodologies and types (e.g., Agile, Scrum, V Model, Waterfall).
- Proven experience leading a small Test team on an Agile project.
- Experience with test tools such as JIRA / Xray and Eggplant (Keysight), ideally for automation.
The Solution Design Definition and Delivery (SDD&D) Team:
This role offers a great opportunity to gain further exposure across the business and develop a professional testing approach. You will be able to bring your own experience and influence the development of this team and the adoption of best practices for testing across IT projects. We are also continuing to develop and enhance our Test Automation capability.
