About the Role

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Technical License Manager for Engineering Solutions to join their team in Donauwörth. This role is crucial for supporting current and future projects by ensuring engineering teams have continuous access to necessary licenses.

Your Location

Work at our Donauwörth site, situated on the banks of the Danube near Augsburg. Here, we develop helicopters from their initial concept to the final airworthy product, allowing you to witness aircraft take off and land on our own test airfield.

Your Responsibilities

  • Guarantee continuous license access and availability for engineering teams.
  • Manage and maintain the entire license infrastructure, including platforms and software delivery systems.
  • Address and resolve technical and software obsolescence issues within the license infrastructure.
  • Handle license-related configuration settings on end-user PCs.
  • Coordinate external subcontractors for license file enrollment and proactively monitor license validity to prevent expirations.
  • Continuously maintain and enhance the license monitoring solution, ensuring availability of monitoring reports.
  • Expand the scope and improve the functionality of the license monitoring system.
  • Oversee and manage L2 support activities for all license-related issues.
  • Collaborate with the group-wide team of license managers and actively contribute to corporate license management initiatives.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all software license contracts.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with relevant work experience and/or a Master's degree in Information Technology or an equivalent field.
  • Strong collaborative spirit, open and transparent communication, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Foundational knowledge of core IT principles, including infrastructure and architectural concepts.
  • Practical experience managing both Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Basic programming skills, preferably in command-line scripting and Python.
  • Fluent (negotiation level) English skills are required; knowledge of French or German is a plus.
  • Experience in software license management and monitoring is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) tools is a plus.
