About the Role

Rheinmetall Defence UK Ltd is looking for a dedicated Tax Specialist to join their team in Almondsbury, Bristol. This permanent, full-time role is crucial for supporting the company's growth and involves managing a wide range of tax-related activities for Rheinmetall entities in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of all US tax filings for Rheinmetall entities, including Local, Corporate, VAT, Employee, and R&D Tax.
  • Management of all local operational tax compliance, notices of payments, and tax audits for the Rheinmetall tax groups.
  • Handling annual and periodic tax obligations, forecasts, and calculation of current and deferred taxes for financial statements, including tax reconciliations.
  • Liaising with business functions and corporate management to provide tax-related analysis for internal decision-making processes.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for all tax-related matters for the Rheinmetall group tax function.
  • Assisting Rheinmetall companies in the UK with tax planning and tax analysis on projects and contracts, including the tax aspects of government contracts.
  • Supporting the completion of transfer pricing arrangements and documentation.
  • Contributing to the further development of the tax compliance management system and overseeing tax-related internal controls and SAO compliance requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Successfully completed business studies with a focus on taxes or a comparable training.
  • Thorough knowledge of UK Statutory accounting regulations.
  • A Masters in Taxation or completion of the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam is preferred.
  • Specific Tax qualifications are preferred.
  • Several years of professional experience with sound knowledge of national and international tax law, ideally gained within a top-tier accounting firm, corporate, business consulting, or legal environment.
  • A confident and engaging presence.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with non-financial managers and personnel at all levels.
