Systems Proving Engineer - Naval Based Air Defence

MBDA is seeking proactive and committed Systems Proving Engineers to join the Integration and Systems Validation team within the Naval Based Air Defence domain. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding team due to significant contract wins and future expectations.

As a broad-based Systems Proving Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Collaborate with systems engineering and design teams to plan, generate, and execute trials.
  • Liaise with engineering and design teams to ensure adequate trials data acquisition, and to investigate and resolve design issues.
  • Generate comprehensive trials documentation.
  • Prepare, deliver, and follow up on internal and external Trials Readiness Reviews.
  • Conduct post-trials data analysis and reporting.
  • Conduct and/or support various trials, including:
    • Laboratory-based functional integration trials / system trials
    • Ground-based trials
    • Harbour trials and sea trials
    • Firing Trials
    • Trials in foreign countries

Additionally, you will assist with:

  • Lab Management responsibilities such as maintaining risk assessments, asset management, hosting audits, and ensuring lab safety.
  • Maintaining hardware and software configuration control.

The role offers opportunities for travel within the UK and abroad.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of internal customers, sub-contractors, partners, and suppliers at both engineering and management levels.

Beneficial experience includes:

  • MBSE tools (e.g., DOORS, Rhapsody, RTC)
