About the Role
Airbus Defence and Space is expanding its team for an exciting and challenging new military program within the Military Derivatives department of Air Power. We are building a brand-new team in Toulouse Saint Martin, France, and are looking for motivated individuals to be part of the launch of a stimulating, ambitious, and thrilling new Program that will reinforce French and European sovereignty.
We are currently seeking several Supply Chain and Quality Managers (f/m) to join this initiative.
Your Working Environment
Toulouse, the global capital of aeronautics and European capital for space research, is a dynamic city in southwest France, ideally located for outdoor activities and served by an international airport.
Your Challenges
As a member of our team, you will develop and perform challenging tasks including:
- Acting as the interface with suppliers for operational activities.
- Assessing suppliers during the tendering phase and contributing to selection decisions.
- Managing or contributing to supply chain and quality aspects of contracts, ensuring on-time, on-quality, and on-cost performance with associated reporting.
- Managing supplier quality approvals and ensuring supplier compliance with required certifications in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Monitoring or supporting new product introductions, technology transfers, and changes to ensure industrial qualification maturity before the serial phase.
- Assessing supplier capacity, capability, and performance, and contributing to supplier development.
- Identifying supplier industrial risks and proposing mitigation actions, including developing short-term recovery plans when needed.
- Initiating and managing supplier performance improvement projects.
- Applying associated tools to manage all supplier management activities.
Your Profile
To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate the following abilities, skills, and competencies with proven experience:
- Experience in supply chain, Quality, or industrial operations.
- Proven track record in managing complex relationships and a solid grasp of delivery/quality management.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Problem-solving and resilience: ability to quickly find the root cause of issues, develop clever solutions under pressure, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
- Proven team mindset and motivation to work with people from different functions and countries.
- Negotiation level in English is required; fluent in French is essential, and Spanish is a plus.
This position requires a security clearance or eligibility for clearance. French nationality may be required depending on the portfolio.
