About the Role
An opportunity for a Systems Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, located in Getafe (Madrid). The successful candidate will join the Engineering Department TADMO6, which specializes in Tanker and L&M A/C Mission Support Systems solutions. Our team develops and maintains mission support and planning systems critical for various Military Aircraft platforms, enabling their operation, evaluation, and development, particularly in the context of mission planning.
Responsibilities
- Carry out all system engineering tasks throughout the life cycle of development projects, including system concept definition, system design, requirements engineering, and system test & qualification.
- Be responsible for the scope and quality of assigned tasks, considering all aspects such as feasibility, reusability, system optimization, maintainability, safety, technical performance, interface design, risks, and opportunities.
- Take part in test definition and execution.
- Ensure the transfer of contracted capabilities and customer requirements into system and product requirements, focusing on customer satisfaction and full compliance with rules and regulations.
- Support and participate in Customer meetings and workshops.
- Provide In Service Support to our systems deployed in military bases, answering technical queries and planning updates.
Skills and Experience
- Education: University degree in a technical domain, such as aeronautics, computer science, telecommunications engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in system or software development, with deep knowledge of methods and tools (e.g., DOORS). Experience working with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo) and DOORS is preferable. Experience with mission planning systems and mission systems is an advantage.
- Languages: Advanced level in English & Spanish (both written & spoken).
- Soft Skills: Must be a team player with good communication skills and a proactive mindset.
