Supplier Assurance Advisor

As a Supplier Assurance Advisor, you will be instrumental in safeguarding critical programmes, technology, and supply chains against dynamic security threats within a growing Supplier Security Assurance environment.
This role offers a significant opportunity to develop your expertise in supplier assurance, risk management, and security compliance within a high-profile and evolving business area. You will work collaboratively with procurement, engineering, supply chain teams, security specialists, stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure the secure delivery of strategically important programmes and safeguard sensitive information, assets, and operations.
Core Duties:
- Conduct supplier security assurance activities, including risk-based assessments and routine compliance reviews across the supplier portfolio.
- Review and evaluate supplier security evidence to assess compliance with contractual, regulatory, and Security Aspect Letter requirements.
- Complete supplier site visits and assurance inspections to gather insights and validate security controls against established standards.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, Legal, and Programme stakeholders to address identified risks and support timely issue resolution.
- Produce clear assurance reports, risk summaries, and recommendations, while supporting the continuous improvement of assurance processes, reporting, and tools.
About You:
- Relevant qualification or demonstrable experience in assurance, compliance, investigation, or administrative roles involving structured review and assessment.
- Experience handling sensitive or confidential information with accuracy, discretion, and adherence to defined procedures.
- Considerable stakeholder engagement skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and external organisations.
- Ability to interpret information, identify risks, document findings, and produce clear, evidence-based reports and recommendations.
- Willingness to obtain ISO 27001 Lead Auditor certification, with a strong interest in security assurance and compliance practices.
