About the Role
As a Supervisor at Babcock's Ashchurch site near Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, you will be instrumental in leading and managing an operational team. Your responsibilities will include safely delivering production targets, effective workforce management, resource planning, process compliance, and driving continuous improvement. What You'll Do Day-to-Day
- Lead and develop an operational team to deliver production plans safely and efficiently.
- Manage recruitment, performance, capability, welfare, and workforce planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and operational processes.
- Oversee production systems, equipment, tooling, and resource availability to minimise operational risks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain accurate operational reporting and planning.
About You
This is a full-time, permanent role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based at Ashchurch, Gloucestershire.
Essential Experience:
- Supervising teams within a production, manufacturing, engineering, automotive, logistics, or similar operational environment.
- Ability to effectively coordinate people, resources, and daily operations.
- Experience working within a safety-focused and process-driven environment.
- Strong communication and team leadership skills.
- Experience supporting performance improvement and delivery against operational targets.
Qualifications:
- Educated to Level 2 within the National Qualifications Framework (or equivalent).
- Relevant technical or vocational qualification equivalent to NQF Level 3, such as an Advanced Apprenticeship or Level 3 NVQ.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Eligibility may be affected by place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and residency.
