About the Role
The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is seeking a High Lift System Integration Specialist (f/m) to join the Aircraft Control team in Mirabel, Québec, Canada. You will work collaboratively with European Flight Control development teams based in France and Germany, contributing to the development and integration of the A220 Primary and Secondary Flight Control System. The team fosters a collaborative, autonomous, and mutually supportive learning environment.
Your Responsibilities
As a High Lift System Integration Specialist, your mission is to actively contribute to the development and integration of the A220 High Lift System. This includes:
- Defining system requirements and interfaces with other aircraft systems.
- Participating in the integration and development of the High Lift systems for the A220.
- Conducting technical investigations, analyzing, and developing solutions.
- Contributing to the definition of the system architecture and its components.
- Performing trade studies to optimize the design solution.
- Evaluating and approving designs from internal and external suppliers by participating in their validation and verification processes.
- Coordinating with various Integrated Product Teams/Suppliers and working with all departments for design, validation, verification, testing, and certification, including support to certification authorities.

Your Profile
We are looking for a proactive candidate with a strong interest in the aerospace industry and systems integration. You should possess:
- A university degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent from a recognized university.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry.
- Good knowledge of specification, design, integration, test, and certification of flight control systems and/or their components.
- Experience with system development processes based on ARP4754, including requirement decomposition from aircraft down to component level.
- Knowledge of RTCA DO-160 and DO-178.
- Familiarity with Part FAR 25 / CS 525 certification processes.
- Experience with the A220 flight control system (primary or secondary) is an asset.
- Good organizational and planning skills.
- Experience in simulation with Matlab software and Simulink.
- Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) is an asset.
- Experience of a complete development cycle from preliminary design to entry into service is an asset.
- Strong communication skills in both French and English (written and spoken).
- Ability to work effectively both individually and within a team, managing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to obtain clearance for export-controlled documents.
This role may involve business travel (in Europe and the USA). A commitment to act with integrity and be aware of compliance risks is fundamental.
