About the Role
The A220 commercial aircraft programme is seeking a Primary Flight Control Integration Specialist to join the Aircraft Control team based in Mirabel, Quebec, Canada. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with European Flight Control development teams in France and Germany, contributing to the development and integration of the A220's Primary and Secondary Flight Control System.

Your Responsibilities
- Contribute to the integration and detailed design of the A220 Primary Flight Control System (FBW).
- Define and agree on the FBW system interfaces with other aircraft systems.
- Conduct technical investigations, analyze data, and develop solutions.
- Participate in the definition of system architecture and system components.
- Perform trade studies to optimize design solutions.
- Evaluate and approve designs from internal and external suppliers through participation in their validation and verification processes.
- Coordinate with various Integrated Product Teams and Suppliers, working across departments for design, validation, verification, testing, and certification.
- Support certification authorities.
- This role may involve business travel (in Europe and USA).
Your Profile
- Proactive with an interest in the aerospace industry and systems integration.
- University degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry.
- Good knowledge of the specification, design, integration, test, and certification of flight control systems and/or its components.
- Experience in control systems development processes (based on ARP4754), including requirement decomposition from aircraft down to component level.
- Knowledge of RTCA DO-160 and DO-178.
- Familiar with Part FAR 25 / CS 525 certification processes.
- Experience with the A220 flight control system, primary or secondary (an asset).
- Good organizational and planning skills.
- Experience in simulation with Matlab software and Simulink.
- Knowledge of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) (an asset).
- Experience of a full development cycle from preliminary design to entry into service (an asset).
- Strong communication skills in French and English (written and spoken).
- Ability to work effectively in a team and individually, delivering quality results in challenging environments.
- Ability to obtain clearance for export controlled documents.
