About the Role

MBDA is seeking a highly capable DDS Developer to join our team in Bristol. You will play a crucial role in supporting the design and development of our advanced Air Defence products, specifically focusing on the CORE communications data model. This position is essential for maintaining our technical leadership in the field of missile systems and involves all facets of the development lifecycle.

You will work closely with the Software Architect and Software Project Leaders, providing key technologies and technical support to our high-performing teams. The role requires operating at Weapon System and Sub-System levels, contributing to negotiations on overall architecture and data models that facilitate optimal internal and external communication, delivering significant capabilities to our customers.

As a role model, you will proactively lead innovative approaches to meet and exceed customer expectations, while upholding our strong commitment to safe, high-quality code.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and advise at weapon systems architecture and design levels.
  • Define and design sub-system command and control.
  • Design and construct Interface Definition Language (IDL) at weapon system and sub-system levels.
  • Own and develop sub-system component templates and design patterns.
  • Advise and mentor sub-system developers.
  • Perform advanced data analysis and data design.
  • Technically lead the CORE development and technologies that support components.
