Software Engineers - Maritime Command and Control (C2)
We are looking for capable, adaptable, and inquisitive software engineers to join our team and develop maritime Command and Control (C2) systems for the next generation of advanced air defence systems.
You will be joining teams that develop software used in the most advanced weapon systems in the world within a critical and influential Software Engineering Directorate, part of a large, progressive, and responsive company. Together, we experiment, innovate, and create across the full product lifecycle.
This is a very hands-on role where you will gain a deep technical understanding of the current Command & Control architecture, supporting the continued design, development, and implementation for future products. This role includes involvement in all aspects of the development process.
What we're looking for:
- Essential: A solid background in software engineering.
- Experience with Ada (preferred) or C++. We welcome applications from those with experience in other software languages such as C++ or Rust, as Ada can be easily mastered by capable software engineers; help and support will be provided.
- Experience working with a formal design process such as MASCOT, UML and tools like Rhapsody.
- A passion for software engineering, with the ability to innovate and think critically to solve complex software problems.
- Desirable: Ada programming experience.
- For algorithm focus, experience with MATLAB Simulink toolchains and/or a Maths/Physics background.
- Development experience in a regulated software safety context (e.g., defence, aerospace, rail, nuclear, or medical).
