About the Role
Collaborate with Architects, Software Developers, and Testers to align complex systems to exacting standards. Deliver mission value that transforms client systems, enhancing reliability, cost-effectiveness, and organizational agility. You will play a key part in delivering the nation's security.
Your Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a team to design, build, and maintain mission-critical systems.
- Automate system deployment, operation, and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tooling.
- Support Leads in driving decisions to implement best-fit tools for complex project problems.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure stability and quality throughout the SDLC.
- Engage in migration activities, focusing on cloud readiness and implementing microservices architecture.
- Continuously expand your own skills and maintain relevant certifications.
Your Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science based subject, equivalent qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Amazon Web Services Certified to Practitioner or Associate level, with experience in designing, deploying, and administering cloud-based solutions.
- Experience creating/maintaining DevOps CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Concourse, Maven, Bamboo).
- Experience automating tasks using tools like Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Puppet, or Python.
- Experience administering Virtualised or Containerised systems in VMWare or Docker/Kubernetes/Openshift.
- Strong collaboration and excellent communication skills (verbal and written), utilizing collaboration tools like the Atlassian Suite (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket).
- Strong agile background with a keen desire to learn, succeed across multiple teams, and adapt as required.
- Cloud experience and awareness in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platforms.
- Experience designing, deploying, and administering Linux or Unix-based solutions (e.g., using virtualisation, containerisation, Infrastructure as Code) would be advantageous.
- Experience with performance monitoring tools (e.g., Elastic Stack, Grafana, CheckMK).
