About the Role:
This pivotal position aligns Data & Analytics initiatives with broader enterprise goals, ensuring seamless integration of solutions across the organisation. A core focus is driving the Data & Analytics Data Architecture Office, contributing to the definition, development, and governance of standard data architecture practices across some of our largest and most complex transformation projects. You will also ensure a clear strategy and roadmap for our data layers, including storage, staging, conformed, and marts, incorporating medallion architecture definitions into our data lakes.
Core Duties:
- Serve as the custodian of appropriate Enterprise Data Models for Data & Analytics services (e.g., Dimensional models for BI, Master Data models for data management) within the context of the overall Data & Analytics Enterprise Architecture Information and Data Models, collaborating closely with the Data & Analytics Centre of Excellence.
- Define Data Architecture best practices and approaches, including the creation of blueprints for conceptual, logical, and physical models.
- Contribute to database development and optimization by defining our approach to data systems (warehouses & lakes) across our data & analytics landscape and creating roadmaps for transitions to new technologies.
- Support large transformation projects in their data journeys by defining reusable artifacts to foster mature data architectures within our enterprise.

Essential Skills:
- Degree in a STEM subject or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
- Proven experience in an IT-related role.
- Experience in Information/Data architecture development.
- Experience of information/data analysis in large-scale business systems.
