Security Officer Opportunity in Bristol

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a multi-skilled Security Team at our Bristol site as a Security Officer. You will be responsible for the effective physical control of entry, operation, and monitoring of all security and safety equipment at the site, as well as responding to any related incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating security systems including Access Control Systems, CCTV, Radio Communication Systems, Intruder Detection systems, and various safety systems.
  • Undertaking patrols, securing buildings, and operating within a Security Control Room environment.
  • Responding to emergencies and acting as an initial incident controller.
  • Working collaboratively with a highly experienced and qualified combined in-house and externally supplied Security team.

What We're Looking For:

  • The ability to undertake shift work, including weekends, weekdays, and night shifts.
  • Willingness to travel and work at other MBDA UK sites when required.
  • Experience and ability to work effectively as part of a team and in a lone capacity.
  • Good working knowledge of security and safety processes.
  • A good degree of numeracy and literacy, with confidence in using MS Office applications for security activities.
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • A willing, helpful attitude and a calm, professional manner when dealing with internal and external customers.
  • Adaptability to undertake the role under challenging circumstances, such as emergency situations or last-minute changes.

  • Salary: Up to £32,290 depending on experience.
