About the Role

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Production Unit Manager (f/h) to join our team at the Paris-Le Bourget site in France. You will play a key role in shaping the future of aeronautics and contributing to life-saving missions through our helicopters. Airbus Helicopters' Paris-Le Bourget site is a hub for blade design, production, and repair, aiming to be the industry benchmark for composite blades and dynamic assemblies.

Your Future Missions

You will join the production management team within our factory and be responsible for a Production Unit of approximately 100 employees. This position requires a security clearance or eligibility for one.

  • Implement a robust and mature concept for an Autonomous Production Unit.
  • Prepare and manage the ramp-up of production.
  • Lead and manage interfaces with production support departments, ensuring all products are manufactured at PLB (Paris Le Bourget) while adhering to rules, the mission of the role, and company objectives for safety, quality, cost, delivery, and personnel, all autonomously and with continuous improvement.
  • Continue and mature the implementation of Lean best practices and Visual Management.
  • Support all factory extension projects.
  • Execute and accomplish the approved recruitment plan for production within deadlines, quality standards, and budget.
  • Establish, ensure, and manage production schedules, workload, direct labor hours, indirect hours, and overtime to fully comply with SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) business objectives.
  • Ensure all production employees comply with Health and Safety standards and regulations (use of PPS, safety procedures, TF1 objectives, etc.).
  • Propose and manage the annual authorized budget for the production unit.
  • Define and manage the organization and production schedules, including overtime and shift work (e.g., two shifts).
  • Define, organize, and manage work allocation and execution strategy for production labor.
  • Define and execute training programs for the workforce with HR support.
  • Define and implement emergency, corrective, or preventive actions for any threats to production or personnel well-being.
  • Implement indicators to manage production, always aligning with factory KPIs.

Your Profile

  • Professional experience in a similar industrial management role for over 5 years.
  • Experience in aeronautics is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment.
  • This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
  • Language Skills: English: negotiation / French: fluent
