Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Quality Inspector (QLS) / Certifying Staff CAT B (m/f/d) for the H135/H145 aircraft, specifically for the final assembly line.
About the Role:
In this role, you will perform quality inspections according to defined standards for final inspection and conformity, stop points, First Article Inspections (FAI), functional tests, rework, and critical activities (if not delegated), along with the relevant documentation.
You will conduct investigations and root cause analyses for quality and technical incidents that occur in the workshop and impact quality costs. You will ensure that containment measures, as well as corrective and preventive actions, are carried out by responsible departments through multifunctional teams.
You will contribute to ensuring the production process by quickly resolving quality problems and preventing foreign object debris. You will ensure operational surveillance (employees, products, and processes) for assigned tasks. You will mentor/coach employees with L1/L2 delegation in their daily jobs. You will handle measurement methods, subcontractors for quality, jigs & tools.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring and adhering to aviation regulatory requirements within the scope of authorizations, considering Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), etc.
- Documenting life cycle parts for the creation of the helicopter life cycle file.
- Managing log cards and entering maintenance records.
- Supporting manufacturing and design in clarifying necessary rework documentation and reviewing the rework.
Required Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Several years of experience in aircraft assembly/maintenance are required.
- Several years of experience in inspection and quality management are desirable.
- Proficiency with MS Office/Google Workspace and SAP.
- A minimum of 3-year vocational training in the relevant field.
- Further training as a Master Craftsman / Technician (m/f/d) and EASA Part-66 module training are desirable.
- Product knowledge of EC-135 / BK-117 is desirable.
- Knowledge of military aviation law is desirable (DEMAR regulations).
- Experience in final conformity declaration (Form 52, Form 53, CRS) is desirable.
- Language skills: Fluent German, proficient English.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (a few times a year).
