The Role

As a Project Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for shaping and executing procurement strategies and fostering supplier engagement across key projects. Your objective will be to ensure the timely delivery of the right products and services at optimal cost and quality. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive operational excellence, encourage innovation, and generate long-term value throughout the supply chain. Key Responsibilities

• Lead supply chain activities for designated projects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
• Manage and develop a team of procurement professionals, including Buyers and Senior Buyers.
• Negotiate and select suppliers for significant procurement programmes and strategic spend categories.
• Drive improvements in supplier performance and effectively resolve commercial or operational issues.
• Cultivate strong cross-functional relationships and identify innovative supply chain solutions.

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time, permanent position working 37 hours per week. The role offers hybrid working arrangements, typically involving 1-2 days in the office and 2-3 days working from home.

Essential Experience

• Significant experience in procurement, supply chain management, commercial, engineering, or operational environments.
• Proven ability to build and manage effective supplier relationships that deliver value and performance improvements.
• Demonstrated experience in leading teams and developing procurement professionals to achieve business objectives.
• Expertise in managing complex negotiations and supplier selection processes.
• Experience working collaboratively with internal stakeholders across multiple business functions.

Qualifications

• Membership of a relevant professional body, such as CIPS at level 5 or above, is advantageous but not essential.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Eligibility for national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions may be affected by factors such as place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and residency status.
