Production Scheduler Role at Airbus Defence and Space

Airbus Defence and Space SAU is looking for a permanent Production Scheduler to join their team. This professional-level role is integral to the Production Planning & Scheduling job family, focusing on creating and managing feasible production schedules.

The Production Scheduler will be responsible for preparing production schedule scenarios for both assembly and in-house parts, ensuring alignment with customer need dates, current production status, backlog, and available capacity. This involves considering manpower, machine availability, material, and technical/quality aspects to maintain consistency with the Master Production Schedule process. A key aspect of the role is managing work orders, from plan order to release, and checking MRP results.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Preparing feasible production schedule scenarios for assembly and in-house parts.
  • Taking into account customer need dates, production status, backlog, outstanding work, and available capacity (manpower, machine, material).
  • Managing work orders (from Plan Order to WO Release) and checking MRP results.
  • Generating weekly production schedules and creating dashboards for workload/manpower balance, WIP analysis, and planning adherence.
  • Being accountable for the IT official planning and scheduling tool.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Educated with an Engineering degree or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Planning and Control.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP is essential.
  • High adaptability to new topics, business environments, and network collaboration.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to propose new ideas.
  • Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish.
