Pensions Investment Oversight Manager

Core Duties:
- Oversee services provided by the investment manager and global custodian, participating in service review meetings and developing reporting against KPI metrics.
- Ensure all investment asset reporting requirements are delivered to stakeholders, including corporate and pension scheme accounting, and other asset values for reporting or modelling purposes.
- Support the accuracy of disclosures in relevant financial statements for both BAE Systems plc accounts and pension scheme accounts.
- Liaise with external auditors regarding queries on investment asset reporting and disclosure requirements.
- Oversee valuation processes and controls for reviewing the validity of private markets valuation statements, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
- Manage all stakeholder queries related to investment assets, collaborating with team members and management for efficient work delivery.
- Build an understanding of provider processes and work collaboratively to enhance or streamline them.
Essential Skills:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Experience in investment and pension scheme accounting.
- Knowledge of investment asset classes (equities, property, private markets, derivatives) and related accounting/disclosure requirements.
The Team:
This is an exciting role within a small, dynamic team, part of the larger in-house Pensions team. Reporting into the Head of Pensions Finance, you will oversee the governance and controls for the valuation and reporting of a substantial portfolio of investment assets. This role offers broad responsibilities, exposure to senior stakeholders and pension scheme trustees, and the opportunity to shape the role and make a significant impact.
