About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in San Pablo (Sevilla) for a Manufacturing Engineering professional to lead the data strategy across Operations. In a rapidly evolving environment driven by data and Artificial Intelligence, you will play a key role in transforming operations by enabling data-driven decision-making and leveraging advanced analytics and AI capabilities.
You will join the Process, Methods & Tools team within Manufacturing Engineering (TAOED).
Key Responsibilities
Your focus will be on two main challenges:
1. Define, Develop and Implement the Data Strategy Across Operations
Shape and deploy the data strategy based on three fundamental pillars:
- Data cleansing and organization: Ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility.
- Development of the data infrastructure: Enabling efficient data collection, management, and exploitation.
- Data exploitation: Utilizing techniques including descriptive analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and data visualization to support decision-making and create business value.
Main Accountabilities include:
- Identify Industrial Data needs for the Industrial development and execution lifecycle, defining deployment strategy and integration into an overall simulation chain connected to digital ecosystems (Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Quality, Industrial Assets).
- Lead the operations ontology and data model definition, ensuring traceability through the FU.IN and FU.PD value chains, and linking to other transversal processes including interfaces with DV, SOURCE, and Quality.
- Lead the business data governance operating model, including roles, policies, processes, and governance structure. Empower the data use culture with other operative areas such as Design and Services.
2. Support Processes, Methods & Tools
Contribute to the definition, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Processes, Methods & Tools within the Industrialization and Produce & Deliver perimeter, standardizing best practices and enhancing operational performance.
Main Accountabilities include:
- Define and support the manufacturing engineering strategy, processes, methods, deployment, and end-user support.
- Define a universal DATA model (Data object definition) for the current domain.
- Responsible for the definition and implementation of BMS FULFILL procedures, manuals, and documents for Legacy and New Programs (DDMS, Eurodrone, FCAS...) in accordance with the ME strategy and Company’s qualified processes/standards.
- Create and maintain Airbus Business Processes and Procedures, optimizing ways of working to maximize value creation for customers in a sustainable manner and in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements.
Skills and Experience
Technical & Business:
- Desirable knowledge of E2E process for Manufacturing/operations engineering extended enterprise covering the industrialization phase.
- Working background in the aerospace industry and experience in Manufacturing Engineering is a plus.
- Knowledge of the AIRBUS Group Divisions (Commercial, ADS,..).
Leadership:
