Observing & Reviewing Service Deputy Role

As the Observing & Reviewing Service Deputy, you will manage the service to ensure objective, consistent, and data-driven training audience performance assessment and After-Action Reviews (AAR) are completed across all Collective Army Training. This involves supporting the Service Lead in managing the ORS processes, supporting Army Observer Coach Trainers (OCTs), implementing the Performance Assessment Framework (PAF), and delivering insights via new AAR tools.

Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Manage the training, equipping, and deployment of the Observing & Reviewing Service team.
  • Formalise and implement Observing & Reviewing Service processes and procedures.
  • Integrate CJIIM staff into collective training events.
  • Liaise with other services to manage inter-service dependencies.
  • Manage ORS RAIDO.
  • Ensure the quality assurance and continuous improvement of the Observing & Reviewing Service and contribute to related activity in OMNIA.
  • Lead on the services' input into Lessons Exploitation Cell process.
  • Maintain trusted relationships with Army stakeholders, including those in CJIIM and partner forces.
  • Monitor the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the ORS and prepare monthly KPI reports.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Management experience in a military training or technology environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across ranks and departments.
  • Proficiency in training management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Eligible for and willing to obtain relevant security clearances.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in the use of legacy Authority observing and reviewing technology (including EXONAUT).
  • Experience leading complex Army training initiatives.
  • Professional certifications in leadership or instruction.
  • Adaptable mindset with a strong commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
