About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Network Architect to join our Group Network Solutions and Development team. You will play a crucial role in designing and implementing network architectures for projects both within the UK and across our wider international group. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to harmonising network architecture across various country networks and work at every level of classification.
Your Responsibilities
- Design network architectures, with a focus on network security systems, within highly secure environments.
- Potentially contribute to build and test operations.
- Engage in projects at various stages, from inception through to delivery.
- Chair technical and design meetings, fostering productive cooperation and idea exchange.
- Pitch concept designs to information security colleagues and set new architectural directions.
- Contribute to the group's strategic move towards cloud services.
- Work with network operations, back office, Information Security, application, and SOC teams.
- Address non-standard demands, local/national projects, and contribute to UK-specific topics as required.
- Navigate and find common ground between potentially competing approaches, requiring diplomacy.
What We're Looking For
- Strong network architecture and design skills, with a preference for network security systems.
- Experience working with classified information within the UK and/or NATO member countries is ideal.
- Ability to contribute to, coordinate, and chair technical/design meetings effectively.
- Comfortable working in an international and multi-cultural context.
- Excellent ability to collaborate with other teams and internal customers.
What We Offer
- Salary of circa £65,000, dependent on experience.
- Dynamic (hybrid) working: 23 days per week on-site, dependent on current project classification.
- Company Bonus of up to 21% of base salary.
- Pension scheme with a maximum total (employer and employee) contribution of up to 14%.
