Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a MRO/Retrofit Process Leader in San Pablo, Sevilla to ensure operational continuity, manage deviations, and drive continuous improvement within their workshop. This role requires a strong background in manufacturing and problem-solving to lead the team and achieve daily/weekly plans.

// Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure seamless information transfer between shifts and manage deviations.
  • Oversee compliance with Health & Safety, quality, time, and cost standards.
  • Develop skills matrix for blue-collar staff and coordinate necessary training.
  • Unblock issues impacting daily/weekly plans, including work orders and defects.
  • Act as Short-term Planning coordinator and prepare future task planning.
  • Collaborate with support functions and lead workshop-level problem-solving initiatives.

// Role Specification

An opportunity for MRO/Retrofit Process Leader has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in San Pablo, Sevilla.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure no gaps of information between different shifts to ensure right information transfer and work continuity.
  • Manage the deviations.
  • To ensure compliance with regards to the company Health and Safety standards, assuring quality of the work, times and cost set by the head of the area.
  • To develop the blue collars skill matrix. Collaborating in the organisation of training and processes necessary for the development of the skills of the team.
  • To unblock any issues (work orders, defects, industrial means etc.) to accomplish the daily/weekly plan.
  • Short-term Planning coordinator for the function.
  • Responsible to prepare the next day and week tasks and planning of works (people, tools, jobcards and aircraft conditions ready to carry out the job).
  • To collaborate actively with all the support functions, engineering, production control and quality, contributing to the objectives of continuous improvement and the OES. To lead the PPS resolution at workshop level, develop knowledge rooms, participate in performance tracker reviews and act as a representative of the workshop in TIP meetings of the area.
  • Monitor the relevant KPI, solve the deviations from targets and identification of major industrial risks.
  • Secure the proper booking hour process of Blue collar.
  • Foreign object damage prevention.
  • Support to the shop floor.

SKILLS:

  • Educated in an Aeronautical Engineering degree or a related discipline.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing.
  • Knowledge in Maintenance environment.
  • Solid knowledge in Practical Problem Solving.
  • Proactive person.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organized & Structured.
  • Advanced level in English and Spanish.
