About the Role:

We are seeking a talented Systems Architect to join a growing team focused on designing the Mission Planning system for the next generation of strike weapons across air and maritime domains. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a complex problem space and engage across various engineering disciplines.

Reporting to the Lead Architect, you will be an integral part of the Mission Planning & Control team, working transversally across all Mission Planning product lines. Your expertise will be crucial in evolving and capturing system designs using MBSE principles.

What You'll Do:

  • Work collaboratively with design teams to evolve and capture system designs using MBSE principles.
  • Generate and review architecture artefacts to ensure clarity and consistency.
  • Contribute effectively to engineering milestones and key design reviews.
  • Ensure best model practice is followed, leading to complete and coherent designs that drive development.
  • Collaborate with wider Weapon Systems teams to ensure traceability of requirements and design.
  • Drive commonality and re-use across different product lines to enhance efficiency.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in systems architecture.
  • Demonstrable experience using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Proficiency with modelling tools such as Rhapsody or equivalent.
  • Experience with Engineering Workflow Management (EWM) or equivalent configuration control tools.
  • Familiarity with DOORS Next Gen or equivalent requirements management tools.
  • A solid understanding of SysML and architectural principles.
  • A desire to tackle complex problems across multiple product lines.
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of Mission Planning is beneficial but not essential.
