About the Role:
We are seeking a talented Systems Architect to join a growing team focused on designing the Mission Planning system for the next generation of strike weapons across air and maritime domains. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a complex problem space and engage across various engineering disciplines.
Reporting to the Lead Architect, you will be an integral part of the Mission Planning & Control team, working transversally across all Mission Planning product lines. Your expertise will be crucial in evolving and capturing system designs using MBSE principles.
What You'll Do:
- Work collaboratively with design teams to evolve and capture system designs using MBSE principles.
- Generate and review architecture artefacts to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Contribute effectively to engineering milestones and key design reviews.
- Ensure best model practice is followed, leading to complete and coherent designs that drive development.
- Collaborate with wider Weapon Systems teams to ensure traceability of requirements and design.
- Drive commonality and re-use across different product lines to enhance efficiency.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in systems architecture.
- Demonstrable experience using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Proficiency with modelling tools such as Rhapsody or equivalent.
- Experience with Engineering Workflow Management (EWM) or equivalent configuration control tools.
- Familiarity with DOORS Next Gen or equivalent requirements management tools.
- A solid understanding of SysML and architectural principles.
- A desire to tackle complex problems across multiple product lines.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of Mission Planning is beneficial but not essential.
