Senior Test Engineer - Manufacturing

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Test Engineer to join the Manufacturing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the test and diagnostics of electrical/electronic sub-systems and circuit cards during the early phases of the product lifecycle. You will provide critical technical support to the manufacturing test capability, ensuring that programme targets are met in terms of time, cost, and quality.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing Test Engineering support throughout the Design and Development phases, from initial concept through to Production Readiness Review and release to Operations.
  • Supporting the introduction of Test Facilities and ensuring appropriate configuration control of equipment and facilities prior to use, including generating supporting test specifications and operator instructions.
  • Supporting the testing of electrical/electronic sub-assemblies and circuit cards, with a focus on diagnosing production test failures down to component level.
  • Working closely with Operations, design teams, and other stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.
  • Consistently aiming to deliver in line with all programme and quality requirements, while maintaining Test Engineering functional governance and driving continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating with Test TX's and design engineers to understand and implement the project test strategy, and influencing the design to incorporate appropriate testability solutions.
  • Working alongside the Principal engineer / MEM in compiling initial process flows (MTIF's) for new products.
  • Creating and maintaining the MTRS's for production test equipment.
  • Supporting the Process FMEA, ensuring necessary test mitigations are in place.
  • Initiating test fixture designs for new product.
  • Assisting TED in the compilation of new test instructions.
  • Estimating the time required to test new products.
