Airbus Helicopters is looking for an Occupational Health Physician to join the Health and Prevention Service at their Marignane, France site. This is a permanent position within a leading global company focused on digital innovation and research.
Role and Responsibilities
The Occupational Health Physician will be responsible for the preventive medical follow-up of a segment of the approximately 9,000 employees on the Marignane site, covering a wide variety of job functions. This role operates in a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating closely with other occupational health physicians, nurses, social workers, occupational psychologists, and prevention services.
The primary focus of the role is preventive: to avoid any deterioration of workers' health due to their work, by monitoring working conditions, contagion risks, and general health. The physician acts as an advisor to the employer, employees, and employee representatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in the prevention of occupational risks and the protection of worker health through workplace actions.
- Ensuring individual monitoring of employees' health status to improve working conditions.
- Adapting workstations, techniques, and work rhythms to the physical and mental health of employees, particularly for job retention.
- Protecting workers from all hazards, including accidents, psychosocial risks, musculoskeletal disorders, and exposure to hazardous chemical agents.
- Ensuring general hygiene of the establishment and catering services.
- Developing health prevention and education programs related to professional activities.
- Advising and supporting teams involved in constructing or modifying buildings and equipment.
- Providing health expertise for equipment modifications and the implementation or modification of night work organization.
- Accompanying management and collective prevention actions during significant company reorganizations, especially concerning psychosocial risks.
- Proposing and leading health promotion initiatives.
Individual health monitoring involves:
- Determining and organizing medical follow-up adapted to risks, health status, and age.
- Preventing and detecting work-related pathologies.
- Informing and educating employees about risks and prevention measures.
- Proposing workplace adjustments or changes to promote job retention.
- Maintaining the Medical Health Record in accordance with High Authority of Health recommendations, as well as the health passport.
Medical activities are organized in conjunction with colleagues, including the coordinating physician of the Occupational Health Service, particularly for protocols and procedures. The role also involves participating in the organization of emergency medical assistance and contributing to the definition and monitoring of the Occupational Health Service's action plans.
Required Skills and Experience
- Diploma in occupational health issued by a competent national authority or academy.
- Minimum of two years of experience in occupational medicine.
- Expertise and aptitude in implementing an occupational health approach.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety laws and regulations.
- Collaborative spirit, teamwork, analytical skills, solution-oriented approach, and strong communication skills.
- Organizational skills and ability to manage priorities.
- Experience in an industrial environment is a plus.
- Experience in emergency situations is a plus.
- Negotiation level in French and advanced level in English.
