Legal Counsel - Product Liability
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Legal Counsel specializing in Product Liability to join the Legal Corporate Affairs department based in Toulouse, France. Your Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day management of cases, coordination, and logistics for external investigations and product liability-related matters.
- Conduct legal research on various topics across different jurisdictions.
- Draft legal documents and provide advice, particularly on liability aspects, under the supervision of the Head of Investigations & Product Integrity Legal.
- Offer legal advice and support for engineering, safety, and security-related activities.
- Review internal and external technical documents.
- Organize or contribute to training initiatives to prevent legal issues.
- Coordinate and manage long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assess and integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) in product liability topics and daily activities.
- Ensure timely and adequate reporting on all ongoing matters.
- Support the department's pro bono practice.
This role may require regular business travel.
Your Profile:
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in Law, preferably in France, with education from other European countries or the US being a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience working in a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Good understanding of complex product liability cases, including investigations and litigation in France and internationally, as well as insurance.
- Strong interest in learning about Airbus products and their technical aspects.
- Ability to interact and influence business operations within a complex environment.
- Proven ability to simultaneously support several complex legal and internal procedures involving multiple departments and third parties.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to gather factual information and transform it into concise legal case assessments.
- Negotiation-level proficiency in both English and French.
