// Role Specification

As a Key Account Manager for Information Systems & Cybersecurity, you will be an integral part of the German KAM team. You will work closely with the BMVg (especially the CIT department), the Cyber and Information Domain Command (Kdo CIR), the Bundeswehr Centre for Digitalisation, the Bundeswehr Centre for Cybersecurity, the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), BWI GmbH, and all other relevant stakeholders within the Bundeswehr, the Federal Government, and other market participants. You will represent Airbus Defence and Space within your area of responsibility to the public.

Within Airbus Defence and Space, you will collaborate closely with Political Affairs, Business Growth, Strategy, and the Connected Intelligence Business Line.

Your Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Identification and continuous development of the sales strategy for Connected Intelligence capabilities in coordination with the Airbus Defence and Space strategy.
  • Close cooperation with the responsible authorities (especially BMVg CIT, Kdo CIR, BSI, BWI).
  • Development, establishment, and maintenance of a stable, long-term oriented network in the market (Bundeswehr, relevant organizations, industrial partners).
  • Strategic campaign planning and contributing sales-relevant aspects to order intake.
  • Support for an efficient flow of the acquisition process in accordance with valid business processes to ensure competitive positioning of the products in your area of responsibility within the German market.
  • Furthermore, you will ensure coordinated customer support across the entire division regarding your area of responsibility.
  • Independent analysis of potential future needs to incorporate them into the further development of the Airbus Defence and Space portfolio.
  • Support for preparation for the customer's planning and procurement cycle, including parliamentary handling of projects and leadership in level-appropriate communication.
  • Monitoring coherence between achieved results and predefined economic, legal, and programmatic aspects; as well as supporting regular internal and external communication.
  • Ensuring that Ethics & Compliance regulations are observed in all communication and interactions (internal and external).

Your Qualifications:

  • Successfully completed studies in Economics, Engineering, Political Science, or Humanities, or a comparable qualification.
  • Extensive professional experience with customer structures.
  • You want to contribute to Germany's security through the realization of important military programs.
  • Experience in industrial marketing, sales, and customer service.
  • Solid professional experience in programmatic and technical aspects of command and control systems and/or the cyber information domain.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and take on informal leadership roles.
  • Strong political understanding and the ability to navigate environments with diverging interests.
  • High level of communication skills and enjoyment of working in nationwide, cross-team structures.
  • Flexibility and intrinsically motivated, independent working style.
  • Fluent English (negotiation level); further language skills are an advantage.
  • This role involves frequent business travel and you should be able to travel accordingly.
  • A Class B driver's license.
  • A security screening is required for this position or must be granted by the competent authorities.
