About the Role
BAE Systems is seeking a proactive and delivery-focused Service Change Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of IT service changes across Infrastructure Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all service changes are delivered efficiently, meeting business objectives, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations, all while remaining within scope and budget.
This is a hands-on position that requires a blend of strategic planning and practical execution. You will actively contribute to change initiatives, working closely with technical teams, suppliers, and business stakeholders to manage the full lifecycle of change, from initial planning through to implementation and successful transition into live service. Your role will involve problem-solving, removing blockers, and driving progress to achieve successful outcomes.
Core Duties
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver IT service changes across Infrastructure Services.
- Manage change scope, schedules, risks, issues, dependencies, and budgets to ensure successful delivery.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams, suppliers, and business stakeholders to align priorities and objectives.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive change plans, documentation, and progress reporting.
- Ensure all changes are governed through established change management processes and controls.
- Identify and resolve delivery challenges, escalating issues where appropriate.
- Support Agile ways of working, enabling iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and governance forums to drive decision-making and delivery progress.
- Ensure changes are transitioned smoothly into live service with minimal disruption to users.
- Drive a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous service improvement.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience delivering IT or Infrastructure Service changes.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience managing risks, dependencies, and competing priorities.
- Knowledge of IT service management and change management practices.
- Experience working with third-party suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- An Agile mindset with a focus on delivering value and continuous improvement.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
