About the Role

Airbus is seeking an experienced IT Operation Specialist (d/f/m) or an ambitious talent ready for a larger challenge to join their passionate, international team operating in an Agile at scale setup. In this role, you will deliver and operate cutting-edge digital solutions for business management standards, audits, and surveillance processes with end-to-end accountability alongside the Product Manager. You will ensure high availability, reliability, and efficiency for our IT assets while consulting on changes and service entries.

This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your Location

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining infrastructure operational conditions in line with OLAs/SLAs, monitoring system performance, and managing console messages or failures to ensure continuity
  • Executing ITIL-based support processes including incident, problem, change, configuration, and event management
  • Provisioning new software packages, system updates, and managing product obsolescence in alignment with the IT Product Manager
  • Supervising system backups, leading disaster recovery tests, and implementing solutions to enhance system reliability and availability
  • Providing 24/7 operational support using automated scheduling and remote monitoring based on business needs
  • Acting as an operational consultant for solution changes, entry-into-service of new products, and continuous service optimization

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Proven experience in IT operations, service delivery, and end-to-end solution performance management
  • Experience with SAP would be an advantage
  • Solid knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, and Systems Management) and user support best practices
  • Hands-on experience with system monitoring, disaster recovery testing, and infrastructure maintenance
  • Demonstrated experience working within Agile at scale frameworks
  • English at a negotiation level is mandatory
