Role Overview
Are you a finance professional driven to take strategic ownership of a major manufacturing portfolio? In this high-visibility role, you will oversee the financial accuracy of €600m in UK Stock and WIP, partnering closely with operational teams, senior leadership, and external auditors to optimize stock flows, controls, and cash performance. Working alongside transnational colleagues to harmonize best practices across Airbus Commercial, you’ll translate complex inventory flows into clear P&L and Balance Sheet impact while shaping future strategy. If you excel at bridging technical accounting with cross-functional business partnering to drive real operational change, this role offers an exceptional platform to influence key stakeholders across the business.
How You Will Contribute to the Team:
- Ensuring accuracy of the balance sheet inventory valuation in the financial accounts, including significant support to external audit to confirm substantiation of inventory valuation and quantity.
- Month-end transactions and reporting to secure accurate and on-time delivery of inventory-related financials for corporate reporting, with robust review of inventory data quality.
- Act as a business partner to stakeholders in Financial Controlling and Operations to drive key inventory management topics such as stock counts, review of slow-moving stock, stock obsolescence, stock coverage, storage location rationalisation, and stock at vendor.
- Assist in devising the way forward, representing accounting, to ensure clear accountability and ownership across the organisation for robust Inventory review and strategic decisions.
- Be responsible for understanding complex, technical inventory flows in SAP and support the business (Finance & Operations) in anomalous transactions/processes to ensure correct financial output.
- Be the primary focus for Financial Controlling in relation to Inventory queries and stakeholder management, engaging key Operational stakeholders where required. Educate on complex processes to empower the Finance and Operational community.
- Involvement in transnational projects to ensure correct Inventory financial flows and a harmonised global approach.
About You:
