About the Role

Airbus Operations is seeking a motivated full-time student intern to join the Aerodynamics department in Bremen. This internship focuses on applying and expanding Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) skills to support numerical aerodynamic analysis.

You will contribute to the validation and industrialisation of a novel meshing tool and a next-generation CFD solver. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic, transnational environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Preparation of meshes for CFD analysis.
  • Generating numerical flow solutions.
  • Creating and documenting new best practices.
  • Conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis and interpretation of results.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and basic programming skills.
  • A foundational understanding of Aerodynamics.
  • Previous experience in setting up and running CFD simulations.
  • Deeper knowledge in meshing for CFD is a plus.
  • Deeper knowledge on RANS solvers is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; basic German is a plus.
