About the Role
Airbus Operations is seeking an enthusiastic Intern (d/f/m) for Application Development within the Flight Physics Capabilities Department in Hamburg. This is an excellent opportunity for a student to experience the work of a Software Developer Intern.
Your Responsibilities
- Design: Enhance our Python applications, focusing on the continuous improvement of an application for fatigue loads pre and post-processing. You will work on writing flexible interfaces, modernizing the codebase, and developing new functionalities.
- Testing: Demonstrate integrity through robust integration and end-to-end testing.
- Collaboration: Work with industry-leading experts in the Component Loads team to contribute to the design of the next generation of aircraft.

Location and Commute
Your workplace will be at the Hamburg Finkenwerder plant, the largest production site for civil aircraft in Hamburg. The location offers options for commuting by ferry, including a route from Teufelsbrück to the Airbus ferry terminal, or a ferry followed by a short bike ride.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Currently enrolled full-time student (d/f/m) in aeronautical or industrial engineering, IT, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Python programming, Linux, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ideally, an interest in code modernization and testing frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Fluent in English.
