BAE Systems is transforming its finance function through a business-led, technology-enabled programme. This involves implementing multiple SAP products to enhance data, insights, financial planning, and forecasting to drive business value and performance.
This is a critical role requiring excellent stakeholder management skills and experience in delivering business-led, complex IT-enabled transformation programmes involving multiple parties.
Core Duties:
- Act as the primary liaison between the programme and Sector/LoB IM&T teams, building strong stakeholder relationships and representing programme priorities.
- Collaborate with programme leadership, delivery partners, and IM&T teams to identify, document, and manage data, integration, environment, and technical dependencies.
- Lead planning and coordination of data and technical change delivery, ensuring alignment with programme schedules, resource demands, and cost estimates.
- Influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts with senior stakeholders to support timely delivery and maintain collaborative working relationships.
- Proactively manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies (RAID), ensuring effective mitigation plans, governance compliance, and PMO alignment.
- Facilitate technology forums, programme governance meetings, and post-implementation reviews, driving continuous improvement through lessons learned and best practice sharing.
Essential Skills:
- A formal Project Management certification such as APM PMQ, PRINCE2 or ChPP.
- Comprehensive knowledge of SAP Activate and experience of delivering SAP enabled business transformation programmes is a strong advantage.
- Good understanding of Waterfall and Hybrid Agile delivery methodologies.
- Previous experience of delivering IT related projects (inception through to delivery).
You will join a collaborative and supportive technology team at the heart of the programme, reporting to the Technical Programme Manager. You will be responsible for managing data and technical dependencies with local IM&T teams in each Sector/LoB.
