About the Role
As an Integrated Product Support Manager at Ashton Vale, Bristol, you will be instrumental in developing and executing support solutions for a pioneering Land Cyber and Electro Magnetic Activities (CEMA) programme. This role is crucial in maintaining the UK Army's advanced defence technology capabilities.
You will work in a customer-facing leadership capacity, collaborating with skilled engineers, managers, and technicians to define the future support strategies for complex military systems. Your responsibilities will span engineering, supportability, logistics, and programme delivery, influencing the maintenance, sustainment, and optimisation of equipment throughout its operational life.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will serve as the primary IPS liaison between the Authority and the Babcock Land CEMA Team, supporting Lead and Principal Engineers to ensure compliance and achieve objectives for in-service readiness.
- Plan and control IPS management tasks across interdisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to contractual requirements and managing milestone deliveries (time, quality, cost).
- Coordinate and manage the Supportability, A&R&M (Availability, Reliability & Maintainability), Technical Communication, and Training workstreams.
- Develop, manage, and maintain the IPS programme plan, deliverables, and assurance activities, including participation in validation of the Supportability Case.
- Act as the Project's Subject Matter Expert, offering advice and guidance through effective relationship building with internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the IPS function as the main Point of Contact (PoC) for Land CEMA projects, both internally and externally.
Essential Experience and Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience working across the engineering lifecycle to ensure high-standard project deliverables.
- Good understanding of cross-domain and cross-boundary requirements development and interface control.
- Experience in determining and managing stakeholder requirements, life cycle tailoring, verification, validation, and transition to operation.
- Understanding of accreditation processes for Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) and bespoke software.
- An Engineering Degree or Engineering HNC/HND with relevant experience.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) and Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance. This role requires the candidate to be a Sole UK National.
Working Arrangements
This is a full-time, permanent role working 37 hours per week. It offers hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
