About the Opportunity
MBDA, a global leader in Missiles and Missile Systems, is seeking an experienced Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager to join our Customer Support & Services (CSS) team. This is a significant opportunity to lead and deliver ILS activities for both domestic and export customers on two of our in-service Missile Systems. The ILS Manager will play a key role in influencing system design and architecting support solutions to guarantee effective through-life support upon product entry into service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of ILS strategies and plans, adhering to customer and contractual requirements as defined by the Project Design Authority.
- Manage ILS activities across the entire lifecycle, from concept and design through manufacturing to in-service support. While current products are in the manufacturing phase, career development may involve working on products in different life cycle stages.
- Develop and maintain a robust Through Life Support Policy.
- Ensure strict compliance with relevant ASD S-Series standards, including S1000D (Technical Publications), S2000M (Material Management), S3000L (Logistics Support Analysis), S4000P (Preventive Maintenance), and S5000F (In-Service Data Feedback), as well as DefStan 00-600 and current MoD ILS standards.
- Oversee critical ILS functions such as Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), maintenance task analysis, spares modelling and provisioning, support equipment development and design, training, and technical documentation.
- Serve as the main ILS point of contact for customers and key stakeholders.
- Manage the delivery of support equipment both within the UK and internationally.
- Contribute to bid and proposal activities, including ILS costing and risk assessment.
- Manage and mentor ILS practitioners within the programme or functional teams.
