Airbus Defence & Space is looking for a Satellite Communication Ground Station and Transmission Engineer (m/f) to join our Network department based in Elancourt, France.
You will be part of a team responsible for designing and implementing innovative networks (fixed, tactical, radio, or satellite communications) for defense needs.

Your Challenges:
- Definition of the satellite telecommunication network transmission subsystem and configuration management of its components.
- Definition of satellite telecommunication ground stations.
- Selection and integration of ground station components (antenna, radio frequency elements, telemetry system, router, switch, etc.) from suppliers.
- Identification and follow-up of market suppliers and industrial partners.
- Necessary dimensioning (data rates, RF, link budgets).
- Establishment of quotes.
- Writing technical documentation (e.g., for tender responses).
- Technical support to sales teams during customer negotiations.
- Support to the Delivery department for writing test plans, factory and site acceptance tests, and monitoring integration and deployment.
- Regular short-term business trips in France are to be expected.
Your Profile:
- Engineering degree or equivalent, preferably in Telecommunications.
- Ability to organize work related to subsystem definition and development, and manage its configuration.
- Knowledge of satellite transmission technologies (microwaves, modulation, networks, etc.).
- Experience in the design and deployment of anchor stations is a plus.
- Experience with constraints and environments of military solutions.

- Good communication and writing skills.
- Negotiation level in French and advanced level in English.
- This position requires a security clearance or eligibility for a clearance by recognized authorities.
