Ingénieur Radiation (E-RPO - Equipment Radiation Process Owner)

Join Airbus Defence and Space SAS as a Radiation Engineer (E-RPO - Equipment Radiation Process Owner). You will be responsible for carrying out engineering activities in the field of radiation and its effects on electronic components (EEE) embedded in space electronic equipment, and for justifying the radiation tolerance of electronic equipment in a space environment.

Main Responsibilities

To meet our clients' needs, you will be responsible for the following main activities:

  • Support teams throughout the lifecycle phases of electronic equipment (tender, development, production).
  • Perform radiation-specific modeling, calculations, and analyses (e.g., sector analysis/Monte Carlo calculation, SEE rate predictions).
  • Define, prepare, and participate in radiation tests to be carried out on electronic components (EEE).
  • Write radiation analyses for electronic equipment.
  • Participate in radiation reviews (ERCB).

You may also be involved in R&D activities related to radiative effects on electronic components.

Required Qualifications

You hold an engineering degree (or equivalent) in physical or electronic sciences, or a related discipline, and possess between 1 and 5 years of minimum experience.

You have:

  • A good knowledge of radiation environments and their effects on EEE components.
  • Knowledge of Radiation software and tools (FASTRAD, NOVICE, OMERE).
  • Knowledge of radiation testing standards (MIL and/or ESCC).
  • Knowledge in electronics (analog and/or digital).
  • Knowledge in project management.

You possess:

  • Dynamism and rigor, with a synthetic mindset allowing for pertinent restitution of technical and quality subjects to your interfaces.
  • Good interpersonal skills to guide component choices for Design teams.
  • Proactivity in technical support.
  • Ability to work in a team and cooperate, with a customer orientation.

Language Skills: Advanced level in English.

Professional travel is expected one to two times a month, generally in Europe.

This position requires a security clearance or requires eligibility for a clearance by recognized authorities.
