About Survey Copter

Since 1996, Survey Copter, located in Pierrelatte, has grown to approximately 60 employees and is expanding with a second site near Aix-en-Provence. We specialize in designing, manufacturing, and maintaining lightweight tactical drone systems for military and civil missions, covering the entire product lifecycle. As a 100% subsidiary of the Airbus Group since 2011, we are the drone center of expertise for Airbus Helicopters, fostering agility and innovation.

Your Missions

  • Collect, analyze, and refine requirements from stakeholders and higher-level specifications throughout system decomposition.
  • Write high-quality requirements and manage their evolution, including impact analysis and baselining.
  • Define, develop, and adapt software architecture and technical solutions for our products.
  • Document the justification for design and architecture decisions.
  • Develop software components according to required processes.
  • Analyze and address technical issues and bugs.
  • Perform unit tests for software functionalities and verify requirement implementation at equipment, subsystem, and component levels.
  • Author documentation related to software definition, testing, installation, and usage.

Your Profile

We are seeking candidates with a Bac +5 degree (Engineering or Master's) in Computer Science or Electronics, and at least 3 years of industry experience.

What We Value

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in real-time embedded software development (C, Python, Apache Kafka, GO...) and user interfaces (Electron, QT...).
  • System Expertise: Good knowledge of RTOS, Linux distributions, MS Windows 11, and multi-core architectures.
  • Tools Mastery: Proven experience with configuration management tools (Git, SVN...) and continuous integration (Jenkins).
  • Standards Knowledge: Experience with aeronautical certification (ED-12/DO-178) or industrial standards is highly valued.
  • Methodology: Good understanding of Agile methods.
  • Language: Fluent in English.
  • Soft Skills: Rigor, open-mindedness, teamwork, and the ability to maintain perspective in a complex environment.
