Airbus Defence & Space is seeking a Radiofrequency Test Engineer (f/m) to join our Assembly, Integration and Tests (AIT) Department in Toulouse, France.
Your Missions:
You will be part of a team developing high-tech telecommunications satellites. Within the Assembly, Integration and Tests (AIT) department, you will be involved in the design and management of microwave test campaigns to ensure the performance and reliability of space equipment before launch.
Your Responsibilities:
Test Engineering and Design
- Define test strategies and design technical configurations (setups) across the entire satellite lifecycle.
- Design test methodologies and define automated test architectures to meet complex design requirements.
- Optimize measurement processes and tools by analyzing feedback and lessons learned.
Operational Management and Technical Expertise
- Orchestrate the execution of test campaigns in coordination with planning and production departments.
- Provide technical expertise during testing phases in critical environments, notably in Thermal Vacuum (space simulation) and CATR (Compact Antenna Test Range).
- Lead technical investigations and root cause analyses in case of anomalies on Payload subsystems (satellite mission equipment).
Coordination and Project Management
- Coordinate operations in close liaison with test managers and planners.
- Manage technical reporting, analyze performance deviations, and ensure validation of results with management and clients.
Your Profile:
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in microwave engineering or testing within a complex industrial environment.
- Proficiency in Radiofrequency measurement techniques (use of network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.).
- Ability to autonomously manage technical projects, with decision-making arbitration skills in critical environments.
- Advanced English (daily use in an international context) and professional French.
Additional Assets:
- Proficiency in programming (e.g., Java, LabVIEW) or expertise in the satellite integration lifecycle.
Working Conditions:
- Professional travel is expected (1-2 times per year in Europe or to launch sites, lasting 2-3 weeks).
- You will be required to work on Saturdays and be on call on Sundays (12 weekends per year, schedule discussed with the team and communicated at least 2 weeks in advance).
