About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Quality Conformance Manager to join Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid). You will be part of the HTPs Quality Team, a multidisciplinary and multicultural team dedicated to ensuring the highest quality standards across manufacturing and industrial processes. This role is crucial in driving quality excellence, resolving complex issues, promoting continuous improvement, and ensuring process robustness throughout the product lifecycle.

As a Quality Conformance Manager, your contribution will be vital in improving manufacturing performance by ensuring process compliance, enhancing product quality, and supporting Airbus' quality transformation objectives. You will work collaboratively with Manufacturing, Production, Engineering, Programmes, and other cross-functional stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the resolution of complex quality issues and continuous improvement projects by defining measurement standards and driving sustainable corrective actions.
  • Lead the Quality performance for HTPs, with a special focus on achieving the quality moonshot target of reducing non-conformities by 50% by next year.
  • Monitor process performance and product compliance with quality standards, ensuring process reliability and repeatability from the initial design phase throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Lead the operational quality activities within the HTPs Control Plan Forum, participating in governance routines and ensuring the achievement of quality milestones.
  • Manage the Non-Allocated Concession process and coordinate Production and Process Verification (PPV) activities, ensuring timely execution and high-quality delivery.
  • Promote continuous improvement by supporting the eradication of repetitive concessions across Single Aisle and Widebody programmes, leading the Quality AOS "My Poli-Poli" brick, and benchmarking and deploying best quality practices across Airbus sites.

Skills and Experience

  • Education: Degree in Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
  • Experience: Previous experience in Quality, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, or Programme Management within an industrial environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of quality management principles, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement methodologies. Digital and computing skills will be considered an asset.
  • Valuable / Nice to have: Experience in Quality Conformance, Airbus Operating System (AOS), process verification activities, quality performance management, or industrial transformation projects.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Proactive mindset with the ability to lead improvement initiatives and work effectively in a multicultural and cross-functional environment.
  • Languages: Advanced level of English.
